b/w portraits

A PORTRAIT IN COLOUR DESCRIBES SOMEONE’S STYLE AND LOOKS. A PORTRAIT IN BLACK AND WHITE LOOKS INTO THEIR SOULS.

The reason why I photograph mostly in black and white is simple: As soon as you remove colour, the picture becomes somehow more intimate. It’s not about describing a moment anymore. It’s about telling a story, looking into a person’s soul. You can see how the focus shifts – everything becomes more open for interpretation.
